ABOUT SUMMIT INDEPENDENCE
Summit Independence is a venture run by Sam Lamont based in Northern Ireland. I’m a qualified Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor. My aim is to equip you with the skills and experience you need to get out and have an adventure under your own steam.
I am continually striving to improve my own knowledge and skills in hillwalking, rock climbing, winter skills and mountaineering. I’d be delighted to share what I’m learning with you.
I love to teach but that is not the end point for me. What I really love is to bump into someone out on the hill doing it for themselves and putting what has been learned into practice.

Mountaineering Ireland recognises that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
Summit Independence holds public liability insurance covering the activities delivered but this does not cover personal accident insurance. It is recommended that you purchase your own personal accident cover.
